Purpose and Description
Scramble is a lesson type that makes it easy for students to preview and review content-based vocabulary. Teachers can set up word searches that align with curriculum objectives. Students identify words that are placed in different orders on grid. Two or more students can interact with the content at the same time on multi-touch displays.
How it works: Play Mode
On "My Lessons" page search for the lesson that you want to create. Use the filters to the right to streamline your search. Once you find the desired lesson, touch the "Play" icon located on the middle of the lesson to open it.
After opening up the lesson, students are presented with a list of words on the right side of the screen, and a grid of letters that contain hidden words, located in the main screen area. Letters within the targeted words are presented in the grid horizontally, vertically, diagonally, and in reverse order.
To select a word, the student selects the first letter of the word, and then makes a mark across all of the letters that make up the world. As each one is correctly identified, the corresponding word in the list is crossed. If students get stuck, the corner menu provides a hide/reveal icon that will show where the words are hidden in the grid.
